The danceMuseum aims to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Dutch dance as a source of inspiration and innovation. In this context, this year we present the start of the ND Archive: an online heritage project for the collection and preservation of the Nederlandse Dansdagen.

Beginning with an index of all the prizes, performances, programmers, and committees who have participated in the festival over the past twenty-five years, the ND Archive aims to develop a comprehensive depot of press, image and audiovisual material for the purpose of preservation, documentation, and scientific research.

As the only festival in the Netherlands dedicated solely to Dutch dance, the ND Archive promises to be an invaluable and unique resource collection. It will provide record, not only of the history of the festival, but also paint a portrait of the ever-changing landscape of Dutch dance.
