Theater aan het Vrijthof programs a large part of its dance, theater and jazz concerts in AINSI, located in the former packing building North of cement manufacturer ENCI at Lage Kanaaldijk 112-113 .
The letters of AINSI symbolize the assignment to AINSI: Art Industry Nature Society Innovation. As a multidisciplinary building, the former industrial complex on the Maas serves as a gathering place for Creative Industry in Maastricht and the region. At the end of 2005, the RCE qualified the buildings as worthy of a national monument.
AINSI is located at the foot of the Sint Pietersberg and on the banks of the Maas, about 10 minutes by bike from the center of Maastricht.
