The position

We are looking for a spider in the web, who will strengthen the organization in secretarial, administrative and organizational areas. The office manager is an important link in the daily affairs of the office and enjoys supporting a small and enthusiastic team from the head office in Maastricht. The office manager is accountable to the Head Office.

We

are the Nederlandse Dansdagen, annually highlighting the heritage, topicality and future of Dutch dance. For more than 25 years, in the first week of October, the city of Maastricht transforms into a true dance city where we present the top of Dutch dance. Theater aan het Vrijthof is our vibrant festival heart. With an enthusiastic and expert team we program a large number of premieres, innovative own productions and must-see performances by both emerging choreographers and established dance companies. From classical ballet to urban dance from performance to modern dance to dance for young audiences. We show the most important developments of the rich Dutch dance scene. With the festival we also give an impulse to Dutch dance with a leading professionals program and supporting new talent with guidance and prizes.

Responsibilities

  • Handling phone, mail and email. 
  • Arrange office purchases, maintenance and equipment.  
  • Maintain folder structure.
  • Contact person for ICT matters. 
  • Ensuring the representative appearance of the office. 
  • Preparing and taking minutes of meetings and dealing with the resulting action points when required. 
  • Management support: agenda management, appointments and general support. 
  • Relationship management (maintain CRM system, friends administration) - support head office.
  • office budget management. 
  • secretarial work for VSCD jury and ND editors. 
  • coordinating festival catering and hotel accommodation. 
  • other festival-related executive tasks.


You

  • have some secretarial/administrative experience
  • are service minded, organized and like to organize things to perfection
  • know how to get to work.
  • You work in a planned way and can cope well with pressure
  • likes to make sure that everything in the office runs efficiently
  • are helpful
  • lives in Maastricht or the surrounding area
  • is fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Have an affinity with art and culture
