The Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for co-formulating and implementing the marketing and communications policy for the Nederlandse Dansdagen, in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Development. The marketing and communication policy is aimed at bringing Nederlandse Dansdagen to the attention of the widest possible audience, press and partners. You will also be responsible for developing the annual festival campaign, in which content creation, online communication, print materials, promotional events and free publicity are important factors. You liaise with Dutch dance companies, other festivals and cultural organizations, press and partners, both locally/regionally and nationally. You work accurately and can cope well with deadlines. In addition, you support the head of marketing & development in approaching partners and the friends policy.
are the Nederlandse Dansdagen (Dutch Dance Days), an organization that annually focuses on the heritage, topicality and future of Dutch dance. Since 1998 we present the top of Dutch dance every year in October at various locations in the city of Maastricht. During the festival, Theater aan het Vrijthof is the vibrant festival heart. We program a large number of premieres, innovative own productions and must-see performances by both emerging choreographers and established dance companies. From classical ballet to urban dance from performance to modern dance to dance for young audiences. We thus show the most important developments of the rich Dutch dance supply. In addition, the festival gives an impulse to Dutch dance through a leading professionals program and supporting new talent with guidance and prizes.
You develop the annual festival campaign in consultation with head of marketing & development and the graphic design agency (including campaign photography, video, festival newspaper and other printed matter). ND's website and social media channels are in good hands with you; always up to date and active. Here you fulfill a coordinating but also an executive role. Newsletters, press releases and other on- and offline communication are no problem for your fluent pen. To guard and strengthen the ND brand, you ensure the correct propagation of our corporate identity and you are responsible for the guidance and distribution of various printed matter. Generating free publicity and contacting the press (local, national and international) is another important task. We also ask you to think along with us about concepts to be developed in order to continue to reach (new) audience groups. You are the contact person for the Uitbalie (box office) and marketing department of Theater aan het Vrijthof and participating companies in the festival regarding marketing and ticket sales. Your duties also include supervising and managing trainees.
